Becoming a Bishop brings with it some immediate expenses to purchase items necessary for this office. Because these items are generally precious and unique in nature, they also come with a price tag to match. It is traditional for funds to be raised to assist the new Bishop in obtaining these items to support the call they have faithfully responded to. These items include a Pastoral Staff, Two Mitres, an Episcopal Ring, a Pectoral Cross, a Cope as well as other Episcopal ceremonial garb.
